BILL ANDERSON TO SERVE AS THE HONORARY CAPTAIN OF CINCINNATI REDS GAME

Country Music Hall of Famer Whisperin’ Bill Anderson recently (Aug. 23) stopped by LOCAL 12, WKRC-TV in Cincinnati, Ohio to visit with Bob Herzog (left) about the legendary singer-songwriter’s role as Honorary Captain of the Cincinnati Reds baseball team on August 24th.

Anderson is also author of the song “Cincinnati, Ohio”, which was a big hit for Connie Smith in the late sixties, and is currently being sung by the huge crowds at every Red’s game this season.

A baseball fanatic, Anderson originally entertained the idea of making the sport his career choice. Then, at the age of 19, he wrote Ray Price’s #1 hit “City Lights” and the game quickly changed!
