March 13, 2014 @ 3:06 am
Thank you….I think. “Life” has several songs that have a special meaning to me. They bring back some wonderful memories of my wonderfully, beloved husband-to-be. He was murdered last year. “In Another Life”, “Blackberry Winter” and “When You Loved Me” always bring tears flooding down my cheeks. Houston was a big music buff, all genres. So thank you……I think….for the memories and the tears.

WOW, WOW,,,, WHAT A SHOW IN THE LITTLE TOWN OF ROCKY MOUNT, VA Mr. Bill Anderson was at his very best…. The band was great, Lots of laughter, fun, and wow, what a set of songs…. After being a fan of TRUE Country music for over 40 yrs… I had the Pleasure and honor of meeting the true legend…. The way BILL ANDERSON showed his love for his fans was SUPER…. He took time to meet, shake hands, take pictures, and sign autographs well past 10:00 pm… That’s why BILL is a class act…. He is one of the reasons that the Grand Old Opry is as successful as it is… Well done Mr. Bill Anderson, Everyone who is a true fan of COUNTRY MUSIC has to see his show…. Thanks for a wonderful night… You brighten up my Father, Mother in law, my wife, and I’s night,,,, and I really loved the show.
May 12, 2014 @ 8:23 pm
We got to see Whispering Bill last Sat. night at the Newberry Opera House and really did enjoy the show and he did a great job.
Everything was great until we were waiting in line for autographs & photos and one of his childhood friends from the Columbia area, where he was born, was there with her family and he stood and talked to them for at least 20 minutes while all the other fans were waiting still in line to meet him, and when we got up there for autographs and pictures he said “we got to hurry up, I got to be in Va. tomorrow” and wasn’t very nice about it either and I thought that was rude. I felt if he wanted to talk to her, why didn’t she tell him she was coming and them talk either before or after all the other fans had gone. Sorry, but there were some annoyed fans because of this.
May 14, 2014 @ 1:55 pm
I have never seen Bill be rude to anyone and have been going to a lot of his shows since 1962′
June 16, 2014 @ 4:55 pm
I’ve been friends with Bill for a number of years, and attend his shows when he comes to my area. I’ve always observed that he goes out of his way to be polite and patient with fans…..even those who do not seem to know when to quit talking. Never known him to use poor grammar either. I’ve never seen him act as though he’s put upon and rushed about meeting and greeting fans after shows. Because I do know him and can exchange emails if I’ve something to say, I don’t linger long in the line after shows. Sorry you went away with the impression he didn’t have time for you; I’m sure he would be appalled to think he had slighted anyone, that’s just not him at all.
May 18, 2014 @ 9:06 pm

February 4, 2015 @ 6:25 pm
Hi Bill, Just received and listened to one of your need cds and its great. You should help your new friend, Moe Pitney, out by suggesting to him to dress up more for this performances. T shirts and blue jeans are not proper attire for true country singers. Nothing turns me off more than a poorly dressed entertainer. You have always been properly dressed in every time I’ve seen you and that has been numerous times. I believe that most older folks think the same. Most of the modern day so called singers dress like bums with their beards and long hair and slumming clothes.
March 3, 2015 @ 4:58 pm
I SOO agree with you, John Baney! It literally makes me sick when you see a
lot of the younger so-called ‘Country’ singers (I HATE the garbage they put out now & call it “Country Music”)! The guys come out as you say>>long hair, beards, torn jeans etc. & the gals with their ‘boobs’ hanging out, get-ups with such short skirts or see-throughs; It’s thoroughly disgusting & I would think a disgrace to older TRUE COUNTRY ARTISTS who always were dressed soo beautifully in sparkling outfits, beautiful hair-do’s etc. BILL ANDERSON>>one of the finest dressed, talented singer & song-writer that has EVER been in the>> TRUE COUNTRY MUSIC BUSINESS~~
