Taking in a Cubs-Braves game at Wrigley Field in Chicago with my granddaughter, Rae, and her friend, Zack. Note they are Cubs fans, and you know me and my loyalty to the Braves. Sorry guys, but the Braves won that night 5-3. The next day, Rae took me for Chicago-style pizza. You can tell I wasn’t interested in eating it at all! I’m sure my granddaddy never wore a western shirt to preach at the First Methodist Church in Elberton, Georgia, but that’s what I had on when I had the opportunity to stand in the pulpit where he was the pastor back in the 1920’s. What an awesome feeling to be in that spot almost 100-years after he was there. The bottom picture is our oldest fan club member, Bertha Thomas, who was celebrating her 102nd birthday when this picture was taken. Happy Birthday from all of our members, Bertha, and much love.
