I REMEMBER THE WHISPHERING BILL ANDERSON.WHEN I WAS YOUNGER AND A KID AT HOME WE LIVED ON A FARM. MY DAD MILKED ABOUT 35 OR 38 HEAD OF MILK COWS DAD HAD A RADIO IN THE MILK BARN. HE ALWAYS SAID THAT THE RADIO CALMED THE COWS DOWN AND THEY WOULD GIVE MORE MILK WITH MUSIC ON AND DAD ALWAYS LISTEN TO COUNTRY MUSIC. THIS WAS BACK IN THE 50’S. SOME WHERE ALONG THE LINE BETWEEN THE 50’S TO THE EARLY 60’S OR SHORTLY AFTER 1963 WHEN I WAS MARRIED. I REMEMBERED A WHISPERING BILL ANDERSON ON THE RADIO AND I FELL IN LOVE WITH HIS MUSIC AN HIS SINGING VOICE THERE WAS A SONG HE SANG IN THE 1990S THAT I DON’T REMEMBER THE NAME NOW BUT IN 1996 IBELEIVE WAS WHEN I HEARD IT AND MY HUSBAND WOULD SING IT TO ME AND CALLED IT MY SONG IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL LOVE SONG. I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE SONG. I WISH I COULD REMEMBER THE SONG BECAUSE MY HUSBAND PAST AWAY IN 1998. AND I NEED TO FIGURE OUT THE NAME OF THE SONG SO I CAN SEE IF I CAN FIND THE RECORD OR CD THAT IT IS ON BECAUSE IT WOULD MEAN SO MUCH TO ME IF I COULD PLAY IT AGAIN AND LISTEN TO IT.

    Mr. Anderson,

I enjoy reading your blog and watching the videos you post on Facebook and billanderson.com, but this note is to say thank you.

Last week you signed a guitar for Caiden’s Hope Foundation which we will sell to a Whisperin’ Bill Anderson fan soon. We’ll use the money raised by the sale of your guitar to help parents that have a infant hospitalized in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Caiden’s Hope provides them with free hotels or free prepaid gas credit cards so they may remain near or visit their child.
We couldn’t do anything without God and support of artists like yourself. Thank you.

Oh Mr. Anderson, that is indeed a funny story. When we moved to the Atlanta area some 30 years ago, my husband was the only John in the phone book…as time went on, not only did another John move to the area but he at some point worked near my husband. He also used the same cleaners, (I just knew my husband had lost weight and bought new clothes when I saw them, still covered in the closet)…Then we began to get calls from collections agencies and finally Equalfax. We drove down to their office and talked with them and low, he even lived on a street that was one letter different that we had…Finally we were cleared and they continued to hunt the John they were looking for. Amazing what names can do! When are you coming to the Metro Atlanta Area?

Years ago I used to work with a man named Bill Anderson…I always thought of you when I saw him — p.s. – He couldn’t sing 🙂

Bill that is so funny. I have another one for you. A few weeks ago we had some rooms in our house painted. The painter and I had talked many times while she was here as she was here for 4 days. Well, one day we were talking and I happen to ask her if she had ever heard of Bill Anderson and she said you mean the guy from Batavia. I said no Bill Anderson the country singer. Unfortunately she doesn’t listen to country music.:( I told her you don’t know what your missing because he has an awesome voice. Love you and love your music. Thank you for your gift of entertaining us all these years.
