Gee, it’s nice to be missed.
Sometimes I wonder if anybody reads the letters I post here, but after going for several weeks without posting anything new, I have my answer. You do read them, and you miss them when I don’t write.
Many of you have written to ask if I’ve been sick, and the answer to that is, “not any sicker than usual.” There was a reason for my not writing, and I’ll try to explain.
First, I send out a newsletter to my fan club members every month, and sometimes there’s just not enough news to spread over both a fan club letter and a Journal posting here.
I feel those of you who take the time and have enough interest to join my fan club deserve to have a personal note from me in your mailbox every month. That’s priority number one. If it’s a busy time with lots of news to share, or if I have a particular soap box I’d like to hop up on, then I post that here.
There are a few tid-bits that I’d like to pass along while I’ve got your attention. First, the Grand Ole Opry’s 87th Birthday Celebration takes place the weekend of October 5th and 6th, and I’ve agreed to cut my vacation a tad short in order to come home and take part in the festivities. The Po’ Folks Band and I will be featured on the LIVE telecast of the Opry October 6th, and I hope you’ll be watching. It will air on GAC-TV.
A couple of concerts have been added to our western Canadian tour in October. The first will actually be in Libby, Montana, on October 20th and the others across the border the following week. Be watching our Tour page and the upcoming fan club newsletter for more details.
And just in case you’re not receiving our monthly fan club letters, click on the Fans icon at the top of our Home page and join up with us while you’re here on our site today. It’s free, and we’ll keep you updated on all the latest happenings in Whisperville.
Thanks, and I’ll write again soon.
